We’re proud to announce a new partnership with LG Improve, a values-driven consultancy working across social housing, construction, and regeneration and now, proudly backing our mission at RISE UP to create real, lasting change for young people furthest from the labour market.

Founded by Surj and Darren, LG Improve helps organisations improve performance, compliance, and people development. But what stood out to us wasn’t just their impressive track record - it was their heart. From our very first conversation, it was clear they shared our belief that all young people deserve the chance to shine.

As part of this partnership, LG Improve have:

  • Donated £500 to RISE DAY 2025 – which is raising vital funds to create a paid apprenticeship here at RISE UP

  • Contributed an additional £500 to sponsor a youth employability workshop, helping us deliver real-world, trauma-informed training to young people who’ve been failed by traditional systems

We were looking for partners that shared our values, took positive action and made a difference. As soon as we met the RISE UP team we knew they were authentic and passionate about what they did. To help young people who haven’t been given the opportunity to shine is something that resonates strongly with us. We’re proud to be helping such a great cause.” - Surj & Darren, Founders, LG Improve

Their support is timely. According to the latest ONS data (May 2025), 923,000 young people across the UK are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET) - that’s roughly 1 in 8.What’s more concerning is that many of these young people have now been NEET for over a year, with rising levels of economic inactivity linked to ill health - particularly mental health.

At RISE UP, we don’t just respond to stats. We build people-first, experience-led programmes designed with, not for, the young people we serve.

What makes this partnership so powerful is that it’s grounded in belief. LG Improve didn’t just want to be seen to support a cause - they wanted to contribute in ways that genuinely open doors for young people. Their support will help us run a workshop that may be the very moment someone starts to see a future they hadn’t thought possible. Said Roman Dibden, CEO of RISE UP

What’s Next?

With just 23 days to go until RISE DAY (on June 20th), we’re on a mission to raise £20,000 - enough to fund a paid apprenticeship that will help us expand our impact and create real, hands-on experience for a young person who needs someone to take a chance on them.

We’ve raised £1,801 so far and we need more organisations like LG Improve to get behind us.

Thank you, LG Improve, for choosing action over optics, and purpose over process. We’re proud to have you in our corner.

If your organisation would like to support our work or explore partnership opportunities, get in touch - we’d love to build something meaningful together.
