On Friday 21st June 2024, organisations and individuals from across the UK took on various physical challenges to raise money to support us in our fight against youth unemployment and inequality.
The RISE UP organised events saw a variety of fundraisers climb Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) in north Wales and they were joined by fundraisers in the south of the UK who took on the Jurassic Coast Challenge dressed as their favourite childhood superhero's. These events were supplemented by individual challenges across the country. The total amount raised will help RISE UP fund it's work to help connect marginalised and vulnerable young people with meaningful employment and/or work readiness training and mentoring.
Commenting on the event, RISE UP Charity Director Roman Dibden said: "It was incredible to see so many people come together to help support our charity efforts. RISE Day is an initiative which continues to grow year-on-year. The fundraising is essential to help us continue our work at the charity and support as many young people as possible but it is also a great way for organisations to dedicate their volunteers days to take on a physical challenge, get outdoors and come together as a team."
