Across the UK more than 790,000 young people are currently Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET)*. This is a rise of 23% over the last 2 years, and means that 1 in 8 British young people are neither earning or learning.

The problem

Unsurprisingly young people are feeling increasingly disaffected and disconnected - only 1 in 3 think employers are supportive of hiring them, and almost half are not confident they’ll progress into a good job.

This issue causes long-term problems for young people and hurts us all. According to the Youth Employment Group reducing the number of NEET young people to the same level as the Netherlands (4.4% vs 12.5%) could generate £69 billion in GDP.

Our Vision

To ensure that every young person is empowered by their potential and can harness it to kick-start a career without limitations.

Our mission

Our mission is to help young people, especially those facing barriers to employment, access and succeed in life-changing career-related opportunities.

We do this by coaching and empowering young people with their own independent job search; facilitating jobs, apprenticeships and work experience placements; and hosting workshops and events that engage, upskill and empower.

We work with amazing employer partners whose values and commitment to social impact, diversity, equity and inclusion align with our own, and they are committed to engaging with, hiring and supporting diverse young talent.

Our story

RISE Up started its journey in 2019, initially as Talent RISE (UK). Since then we’ve helped almost 100 young people access opportunities and supported over 800 on their journey towards meaningful employment.

We consistently receive incredibly positive feedback from our valued employer and community partners, and most importantly - from the brilliant young people we have the pleasure of working with.

RISE UP has been an amazing support, giving me the confidence and guidance to succeed in my job search. Matt’s coaching and feedback on my CV and LinkedIn page helped in securing my current role. They also advised me on interview questions and believed in the value I bring. Thanks to their help, I discovered my passion as a Software Tester, a challenging role that keeps me learning and allows me to problem solve. I'm genuinely grateful for RISE UP’s support and the safe environment they provided to refine my goals.
